SD-WAN Technology

SD-WAN Technology

Plover Bay’s SpeedFusion SD-WAN technology can combine the bandwidth of any type of connections into the same network. In the video to the right, we mounted two HD cameras on two cars and the recordings were live streamed to our demo: the much smoother stream on the left was powered by SpeedFusion SD-WAN, while the stream of the right used a single LTE.

Routers – Gateway to the Outside World
Routers move data between wide-area networks (“WAN”, public Internet and private leased lines from service providers) and local-area networks (“LAN”, such as network of computers and IP phones in an office). A fast and reliable WAN connection helps enterprises keep in touch with its customers and employees and business can ground to a halt from network outages. A stable single-connection such as MPLS line can often cost exorbitant amounts. With rising bandwidth needs quickly outstripping company IT budgets, businesses need a more affordable way to achieve link reliability.
SD-WAN: Faster, More Reliable, More Affordable
With SD-WAN routers, businesses can achieve reliability equivalent to private lines at 1/5th of the cost. While private lines become exponentially more expensive at higher bandwidths, SD-WAN routers can combine multiple affordable WAN links into a single high-throughput connection. These links can be of any type: DSL, fiber, 4G LTE, VSAT, and more.

Key Benefits

Cost Reduction:

On average, a SD-WAN router using multiple Internet links costs 10%-20% of traditional WAN.
High Bandwidth:

Using bonding technology, SD-WAN routers can combine the bandwidth of multiple WAN connections.

Network Flexibility:

Easily add or remove WAN connections as needed. Combine cellular and fixed line connections.

Central Management:

Network administrators can monitor and manage their entire network remotely.

Plover Bay’s Patented SD-WAN Technologies
SpeedFusion technology aggregates bandwidth from any connection type – DSL, 3G/4G, satellite and others to form an unbreakable high-bandwidth connection. Whether you’re transferring a few documents or driving real-time POS data, video feeds, and VoIP conversations, SpeedFusion pumps all your data down a single bonded data-pipe that’s budget-friendly, ultra-fast, and easily configurable to suit any networking environment.

Markets Addressed

Plover Bay’s unique technologies address networking needs across multiple markets. SD-WAN routers can supplement or replace expensive leased lines with multiple affordable Internet links.

In remote locations, SD-WAN routers enable high-bandwidth applications to operate in places previously not possible. This makes our technology useful for streaming high-definition surveillance videos, connecting remotely located worksites, and cutting months of setup time.

Additional value can be found by using cellular connections as a backup to fixed lines, ensuring that branch offices can keep running even if their fixed line loses connectivity. This is particularly useful for protecting Point of Sale and IP phone systems, as well as ensuring that unmanned deployments stay online.     Learn More
